Join us for our Sacred Space event.

Sacred space involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, and readings.

There is no preaching, and attendees can sit on cushions and rugs on the floor or on chairs and pews. We sing beautiful, meditative chants by candle-light. The soothing and connecting effects of this form of meditation is a powerful way of connecting with God. 

During the evening, there will also be art materials available for attendees who feel moved to creative and sensory expression. 

The Taizé Community, a monastic community in Burgundy, France, established by Brother Roger Schütz in 1940. The first Taizé house was a sanctuary to many refugees seeking safety from the Nazi occupation. The Taizé Community has grown to become one of the most important sites of Christian pilgrimage in Europe.
